1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how WUZIQI Gomoku ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the app. We design the app for minimal collection and provide controls for advertising and privacy choices.
2. Data We Collect
2.1 Local Gameplay and Settings Data
We store gameplay-related data locally on your device, including settings, game saves, achievements, and statistics.
2.2 Analytics Event Data (Local + First-Party Service)
The app processes analytics events to improve stability, game balance, the beginner experience, and feature quality. When analytics is enabled, a local buffer sends events over HTTPS to wuziqi-data.jzzzee.com, a service we operate using a Cloudflare Worker and D1 database to understand how the product is working. This analytics path does not use a CloudKit private database. See Section 8 for optional analytics controls and regional defaults.
Typical fields include:
event_name,event_time,session_idapp_version,build,platform,os_version,device_type,localeanonymous_user_id(a pseudonymous identifier generated for this installation, not your real name; it can link events from the same installation and is handled with the care applicable to personal information)is_ad_free,att_status,gdpr_consent,analytics_consent- Experiment assignment values used for A/B tests
- Event-specific parameters (for example gameplay, ad, purchase, or feature-exposure context)
2.3 Experiment Assignment Data (SwiftData + CloudKit)
For A/B experiments, we store assignment data such as experimentId, variant, and
assignedAt. This data is stored via SwiftData and may sync through CloudKit private
database when available.
2.4 Advertising and Consent Data
If ads are enabled, we use Google AdMob and Google UMP. Depending on your region and choices, data may include advertising consent state and ad interaction results.
2.5 Data You Provide
If you contact support, we receive your email address and message content.
2.6 Website Analytics
This website (jzzzee.com) uses two cookieless measurements: Cloudflare Web Analytics, and a lightweight self-hosted beacon that reports to our own server. The self-hosted beacon records two things:
- Page views: page path, language version, a coarse device bucket (desktop / mobile / tablet), referring domain, and country.
- Outbound clicks: which page you were on when you clicked a link to the App Store. We store only the category of the destination (App Store), never the full destination URL.
Neither record uses cookies, localStorage, or sessionStorage, and neither sets any persistent or session identifier. We do not store your IP address and we do not store the raw User-Agent. This lets us count "how many times was this page read, and how many of those went on to the App Store" — it does not let us identify you or link your visits together.
3. How We Use Data
- Provide core gameplay, saves, and settings
- Measure stability and performance
- Improve game balance, onboarding, and feature quality
- Operate monetization logic (ads and remove-ads entitlement)
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to support requests
4. ATT and Tracking Choices
We request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission before using IDFA for tracking-related advertising scenarios. If you deny ATT, gameplay remains available and tracking-based advertising is not required for core gameplay.
5. Storage and Service Scope
5.1 Local Storage
Settings, saved games, statistics, and the analytics buffer are held in app storage on your device. Sending analytics does not create a recoverable cloud backup of your saved games.
5.2 First-Party Analytics Service
Enabled analytics events are sent to wuziqi-data.jzzzee.com, using a Cloudflare Worker and D1 for processing and storage. We operate this service; it does not depend on your iCloud sign-in.
5.3 CloudKit Experiment Assignments
A/B experiment assignments may sync through the private database in iCloud.WUZIQI when available, with local storage as a fallback. Experiment sync and analytics uploads are separate data paths.
6. Third Parties and Sharing
We use third-party services to operate app features:
- Apple CloudKit: private cloud storage and sync for experiment assignment records.
- Cloudflare Worker / D1: ingestion, processing, and database storage for the first-party analytics service we operate.
- Apple App Store / StoreKit: handles payment and in-app purchase processing.
- Google AdMob + UMP: handles ad serving and ad consent workflows.
We do not sell personal data. We do not intentionally upload direct identifiers such as your real name to analytics records.
7. Data Retention
Local data remains until removed by app actions, device cleanup, or app uninstall. Cloud data is retained only as needed for operations and product analysis, then deleted or aggregated according to operational policy.
8. Your Rights and Controls
Controls vary by app version. The in-app actions below apply to versions that offer the relevant entry. If your installed version lacks it, update when an update is available or contact info@jzzzee.com for help. This description does not imply that every older version already has the same controls.
- Optional analytics: Open Privacy in the Settings tab and use the Help Improve WUZIQI switch. This choice is separate from advertising consent and ATT. Versions with this control default analytics off in consent-required regions; other regions may default it on, and you can turn it off at any time. Turning it off stops new analytics events from being persisted or uploaded and clears the pending upload buffer. Previously uploaded data requires a separate deletion request.
- Deletion: Versions with Delete All Data clear local data and request deletion from the first-party analytics service using the installation identifier. If offline or a request fails, the request remains pending and is retried on a later launch; this is not confirmation of immediate server deletion. You may also email requests to access, correct, or delete data, including your app version and context that helps locate the records.
- Control ATT in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Advertising privacy options depend on region, consent state, and app version.
- Remove Ads disables in-app advertising flows; analytics remains a separate choice.
9. Children's Privacy
The app is designed as a board game and does not require account registration to play. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will review and handle the request.
10. Security
We apply reasonable technical safeguards, but no storage or transmission method can be guaranteed 100% secure.
11. Policy Updates
We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. The latest version is published on this page with a revised date.
